Did someone say belly rubs? Our pup, Cali (the good girl on the left!) never misses an opportunity for a rub or a snuggle. She’s our “Alberta Special” and easily the sweetest member of our family. We adopted Cali from a local shelter, which is why we have such a passion for giving back to organizations that have given us so much. You’ll find her in the store most days taking a nap on the couch or playing with her favourite squeaky toys.

Hi! We’re Bret and Megan Nederlof, the owners of Brindle Pet Supplies. We both grew up in Alberta, Canada and are thrilled to grow our business across the nation. We are passionate about animal welfare, nutrition and rescue. We’ve personally rescued three pets and have had a hand in many other adoptions. Our favourite Saturday activities involve long walks to the park with Cali and volunteering at local shelters. As heart-felt animal advocates, raised by local business owners, starting Brindle felt like a no-brainer.
We came up with the concept for Brindle after repeatedly running out of food and making last-minute, mad-dashes to the store, only to carry out heavy and awkward bags of food while juggling a million other things. We realized there’s a simpler way to shop. We recognized we could offer the convenience of shopping online while still supporting independent business – and just like that, Brindle Pet Supplies was born!
Brindle Pet Supplies was founded in loving memory of our sweet angel puppy, Charlie. We chose the name Brindle as a tribute to Charlie’s beautiful brindle coat, full of bold and unique markings just like his personality. He was one-of-a-kind, and we are humbled to keep his memory alive through our new big adventure, Brindle Pet Supplies.
